I liked it when he did write ups on Jalopnik for his projects and car flips. I enjoy the act of reading a car thread more than watching a YouTube video about it.

You’ve just stepped up in intelligence. The title in the form of a question thing a ppeals to a base instinct to kind of tickle our intellect or our understanding. Basically the answer is almost always no. Like cheap lambourghini? No, not really or not likely. In this case 70k or whatever it was for a burned, salvaged lambo is not really a screaming deal. Like a video titled “the sky is blue because of X” is inherently not as interesting as “the sky isn’t really blue?”
The fact you feel something is off means in some deeper level you realize that the questions posed now repeatedly are fairly mundane, the answers aren’t stimulating as the question was. It’s a stupid tactic and the bubble on it will burst, the people that continue to use it will find it will alienate people over time. /rant

I agree and understand completely. I learned just enough about persuasive techniques in high school to see through the LIES.
But. They’re still pretty good videos. And that Lambo project is damn cool. It’s a shame.
Probably one day the general populace
will realize and reject this stuff. Takes time

I actually prefer the video. I watch them when cooking/cleaning/chores/whatever, suits me. But...it does depend on the video.

Personally I wish they’d grab attention with cool projects rather than baity manipulative bullshit. That’s maybe the saddest part - the Lambo is such a project. It’s fascinating to anyone remotely interested in cars.
It’s like the’s done the hard part of spending a lot of money to acquire a heap of risk. And he’s soiled it with a few dodgy words on the thumbnail and a bit too much promo work

I jus don’t always have the time to watch a whole video, so I like reading an article so I can leave and come back to it when I have a second. It’s part of why I’ve become a big fan of David Tracy, because I like his build threads, that always seem like they’ll end in disappointment but somehow, someway, always end in sweet victory.
